Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma (#5934) & Texas (#91590), OK Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Education is a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands, MEd in Applied Behavioral Studies from Oklahoma City University, and
BA in Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma.
Professional Experience
Extensive experience providing therapy and supervision within mental health agencies, community mental health centers, and inpatient hospitals since entering the profession in 2013. Core faculty and teaching clinical counseling courses at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, having also taught at Seton Hall University and Oklahoma City University. Winner of the 2021 Excellence in Teaching Award from the OKCU Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning. Member of the American Counseling Association and Oklahoma Counseling Association.
Primary areas of focus and clinical experience are relief from emotional hardships, trauma, grief, relationship/family issues, attachment, insecurities, suicidality, self-harm, diversity and inclusion, matters of identity and gender, and problematic substance use.
Rates and Insurance
Counseling should be accessible, therefore I make an effort to keep fees at a manageable rate. My standard out-of-pocket rate is up to $140 per 50 to 55-minute session with sliding scale available upon request. In Oklahoma I accept Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HealthChoice, Healthcare Highways, and Cigna. Texas appointments are out-of-pocket only with insurance credentialing pending (expected by Summer of '24).
