Clinical Supervision for LPC Licensure

Supervision Experience

I have been providing individual and group supervision to graduate interns and Oklahoma LPC candidates since 2016. I have supervised in several settings including wellness agencies, community mental health centers, intensive outpatient treatment programs, acute inpatient hospitals, and residential treatment centers.

Supervision Credentials

My training and education in clinical supervision includes a PhD in counselor education and supervision, as well as multiple continuing education classes relevant to counseling and supervision.  I have been an Oklahoma board approved clinical supervisor since 2018, with 100% of supervisees obtaining licensure.

Humanistic Supervision

Humanistic Supervision

Supervision Credentials

I approach supervision from a humanistic, person-centered perspective rooted within Rogerian philosophy. This means a strong supervisory alliance where teaching, self-exploration, and professional development occur within a safe environment. I stress the use-of-self as a core component to supervision and counseling processes. As a supervisor, I trust in the supervisee’s capacity for self-awareness and growth.  And by modeling Rogerian core conditions, I support supervisees as they provide services and build a safe counseling environment with clients.

Model of Supervision

Humanistic Supervision

Model of Supervision

My approach is structured around the discrimination model of supervision.  Do not let the name fool you, as the model is highly regarded for helping LPC supervisees in training and skill building. The discrimination model gets its name from the mixture of supervisory roles and techniques going into its methodology. Depending on the situation, I assume the role of teacher, processor, or consultant. The model serves as a guide for identifying and addressing needs and developmental stages throughout the supervision process.

Supervision Rates

Humanistic Supervision

Model of Supervision

Rates are based solely on a sliding scale and tailored to the supervisee.  Licensure supervision is a time for development and growth.  The last thing it should be is a financial burden to LPC Candidates.  Contact me and I can work with you on determining a fair rate.

Supervision Meetings

Supervision Meetings

I provide supervision both in person and using online services, all in accordance to guidelines set forth by the Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure.

As the pandemic continues to unfold, I am following CDC recommendations and guidelines regarding the use of masks and other safety precautions for all in-person meetings.
